CVU's Playoff Hopes Crushed

The varsity Redhawks football team charged into Saturday’s game against Mt. Abe with high hopes of traveling to Springfield for a playoff game on Halloween. Mt. Abe foiled those hopes with an 8-0 victory. (see Game News for more).

The JV team traveled to Rice Memorial for their last game of the season and lost 0-45. (see JV Game News for previous news)

Many Thanks to Golf Tournament Players, Sponsors and Helpers

The sixth annual CVU Redhawks/CSSU Buccaneers Golf Tournament took place Friday, September 26 and was a success. Players and helpers had a great time despite some afternoon rain showers. Please see the Sponsor list for those that continue to make this event possible. Proceeds go to the CVU and CSSU football programs.

Ode to the Redhawks

CVU Fight Song

Fight team, Fight CVU
We must win this game
Onward now you Crusaders [Redhawks]
Bring Glory to our name.
Rah! Rah! Rah!
Here's to both our colors
Red and White
Hoping for a victory so
Fight! Fight! Fight!

Who are these young men - these doers of deeds
These dreamers of dreams who make us believe?

Who are these young men who still win the day --
When the odds are against them and strength fades away?

These young men are the Redhawks for they never give in--
A heart beats within them that's destined to win.

They follow their dreams though the playoffs seem far,
From the side lines of the field they reach for a star.

So here's to the Redhawks -- to all their great deeds.
They follow their hearts and are winners indeed.
